Hacı Ali Masjid

HKFK-12/HAM

During surveys performed at a quarter named after the Salihiye Gardens in the district center, analyses and surveys were initiated to identify the building remains noted in an area called “Molla Cemal” garden by locals.

After completion of the cleaning work, it was observed that transversely extending building in a rectangular plan consisted of three main units, and while it was initially designed as a civilian structure, the eastern part was converted into a masjid, and used that way. It was also observed that the original of the building lying 113 m to the northeast of the Artuqid Pavilion that was completely excavated in 2009 may also be a pavilion type of building with its architectural features such as a view of the terraced slope, design with an iwan and water architecture similar to the characteristics of the monumental Artuqid period pavilions .
